The first phase of the Three Oaks Development — delivered in partnership between Sovereign Network Group (SNG), Captiva Homes and the Isle of Wight Council — saw 28 homes handed over before Christmas.
In total, Three Oaks will include 87 homes for social rent and 58 for shared ownership.
SNG will own and manage the homes, with Captiva responsible for construction, while the Isle of Wight Council has played a central role in ensuring these units directly address local housing needs.

This means all the social rent homes will be allocated to those on the Isle of Wight housing waiting list, through a legally binding local lettings plan agreed between SNG and the council.
“Three Oaks is a powerful example of what can be achieved when housing providers, local authorities and developers work together with a shared purpose,” said Jenny Grote, land and new business director (South) at SNG.
“These 87 social rent homes will provide long-term security for island families, while also helping to unlock much-needed movement within the existing social housing stock.
“We are proud to be delivering homes that are not only affordable, but high-quality, energy efficient and designed to support strong communities.”
